We are proud to support over 40 middle school and high school sports teams.
The Los Alamos Public Schools follow all eligibility criteria established by the
New Mexico Activities Association for participation in extracurricular activities. Basic NMAA eligibility standards are outlined in the LAPS Extracurricular Activities Code. Further standards are outlined in the NMAA Senior High Handbook, sections 4.11 through 4.24. The handbook is available in the LAPS athletic office (located in the main lobby at LAHS) or online at
www.nmact.org.
LAPS offers a variety of activities and clubs for students. At Los Alamos High School, there are over
40 different activities from which students can choose. Our elementaries and
middle school also offer a wide array of clubs such as Chess Club, Yearbook, foreign language clubs, math and reading clubs, and more.
