Based on its work during the January 10, 2010, retreat, the Los Alamos Public Schools School Board has revised its vision statement; and, so far, set three non-negotiable goals to use in driving its decision-making processes.
Vision: We will lead by example and govern a school district in which every child is inspired and learns to his/her full potential.
Non-negotiable Goals:
- 100% of students will graduate and be able to enter the work force or university of their choice.
- 100% of students will achieve at least a minimum year's worth of measurable growth in one year of schooling.
- 100% of our schools and workplaces will be safe and civil.
