Barranca Advisory Team

The Barranca Advisory Team (BAT) meets monthly during the school year and advises the principal on a wide variety of subjects. The BAT"s mission is to foster communication among staff, parents/families, and the school community to make decisions and recommendations which positively affect and support quality education for Barranca"s children. Some issues which BAT has considered recently, for example, are revising attendance practices at Barranca, and considereing what might be an appropriate expenditure of our "award money" from the state for having met AYP in 04-05 school year. We also spent considerable time determining our school"s priorities for Bond Projects in the upcoming election cycle. Barranca Parents and friends are always invited to attend the BAT meetings and to share their ideas and opinions.
