{computers} What is MAP's Testing?

School test scores are now posted online!

Each year school year, your child participates in Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) testing. The tests are in the Fall, Winter, and Spring. We give students MAP tests to determine your child's instructional level and to measure academic growth throughout the school year (and from year to year) in the areas of Math and Reading. Your child will take the tests on a computer and following each testing period, you will receive a report in the mail showing your child's growth.

MAP tests are unique in that they adapt to your child's level of learning. As a result, each student has the same opportunity to succeed and maintain a positive attitude toward testing. With MAP tests, we can administer shorter tests and use less class time while still receiving detailed, accurate information about your child's growth.

It is important to have your child here for each test date, as the testing has to be made up. If you have any questions regarding the MAPs testing, please visit our Los Alamos School District's Testing site.

2009 Spring Testing will be April 27-May 15.

2009 SBA Testing will be the mornings of April 7,8,9,14,15 and 16.  Testing will be done in the morning and will be done by 11:30 am.  We ask that you do not schedule appointments for your child during this time as we will not be able to pull the student once testing begins.  Thank you for your consideration!
