The SAC is a committee of both the HAC (HAWK Advisory Committee) and TAC (Topper Advisory Committee) who meet together to deal with specific issues which involve both the Middle School and the High School.
Mission Statement
The Secondary Advisory Council (SAC) will function as an advisory body for the Los Alamos Secondary Schools for the purpose of creating a vertically integrated educational continuum and seamless transition for students from the mid-school to the high school. It shall advise and assist the secondary school administrators in support of the Los Alamos Public School’s vision and mission statements.
Goals

The SAC will advise the site principals on critical issues that directly impact the needs of all students.

The SAC will develop broadly based communication mechanisms to enable parents, teachers, staff, students and members of the community to work together and become a resource for all stake holders.

The SAC will participate in the formulation of the annual site goals Educational Plan for Student Success (EPSS) for LAMS and LAHS.

The SAC will evaluate the site goals yearly, and at the end of the school year make recommendations for the next year’s goals.
