Any LAHS student is welcome to submit poetry, a story, a song, artwork, photos, a computer design, or other artistic piece of work to be considered for the publication at the end of the school year.
This year, we'd like for you to use our new online form to submit your work. Submissions will be sent anonomously through the online form to the student evaluation team.
However, you must also submit a hard-copy of your printed submission summary and all of your work to Mrs. Nadaskay-Goeller. This hard-copy packet WILL include your name. First, read the guidelines below, then click on the form link at the bottom to get started.
IMPORTANT - Submission Guidelines. Please read before submitting!
This is for LAHS students only. We do not accept submissions from other schools.- 1st Semester Deadline - Friday, December 18th, 2009. 2nd Semester Deadline - Friday, April 9th, 2010.
- You may submit as many items as you wish, but each item must have a separate submission form.
- You must submit an electronic copy through the online form AND a hard-copy packet of all your work to Mrs. Nadaskay-Goeller (see above). Once you've submitted your work through the online form, don't forget to print your submission summary!
- Do not put your name anywhere on the work itself as to assure your anonymity during evaluation.
- Do not submit work with an alias name!
- Literature or Poetry - The text should be typed or pasted directly into the field provided in the online form. The character limit is 4000 characters. If your submission is larger than that, you may upload a separate file through the online form. Use black as your font color.
- Artwork - If you are submitting art, please draw in ink. Upload a half-tone copy and the original. If the artwork is already in color, submit a black and white scanned copy and the original. Submissions should fit on 8.5 by 11 inch paper.
- Music - If you are submitting music, you may upload your music file along with sheet music on the online form. You must also include a CD with your hard-copy packet turned in to Mrs. Nadaskay-Goeller. Write "Pegasus 2010" and your English teacher's name on the CD.
- Foreign Language - If your submission is in a foreign language, a high school teacher of that language must confirm the accuracy of your submission with his or her signature on the printed submission summary.
- File Upload Size Limit - You may upload 5 files per submission. The file size for each file must not exceed 15MB. Please attempt to reduce the size of any files submitted so that they are less than 15MB. If that is not possible, see "Problems With the Online Form" below for more instructions.
Problems With the Online FormIf you have problems with the online form, for whatever reason, you may submit an electronic copy of all work to
lahspegasus@gmail.com. You must still follow all of the guidelines outlined above. You must include the following in the e-mail.
1. Title of Work
2. Current English Teacher, Period, and Room
3. Attached files.
You must then download the hard-copy

If you have read the guidelines, you are now ready to submit your work!IMPORTANT - You may submit as many pieces of work as you wish, but each individual piece of work must have a separate submission form. You may upload up to 5 files PER PIECE OF WORK. For example, if you are submitting both a poem and separate piece of art work, you must complete the online form twice.
