Your willingness to give service to Los Alamos Public Schools’ students in all curricular areas is appreciated. As a substitute staff member, you should follow regulations and policies of LAPS. Upon hiring, you will be given information with an option to view or print a Substitute Handbook that covers special regulations, preparation procedures, School Board policies, and more. 

Substitutes should use TimeClock Plus (TCP) to customize configuration rules that will determine when they would like to be notified of a sub request, preferred grade levels, days of availability, preferred working hours and more.

All interested Substitute Employment Applicants must complete a Substitute Teacher Observation Form.  Two observation hours each needs to be completed at an LAPS Elementary, LAMS and LAHS, total of 6 hours.  Please upload your completed Substitute Teacher Observation Form once you have completed the observations within LAPS.
